Woodsworth College takes pride in the excellent academic support services we offer our students. The Office of the Registrar and many of our services are open generous hours year-round. The academic advisors in the Registrar’s Office offer front-line, drop-in and scheduled counselling appointments. They can assist you in formulating an academic and financial plan to support your success.
Our excellent Academic Writing Centre assists you with all aspects of the writing process. You can arrange a 45-minute one-on-one appointment with a writing tutor to help you polish your writing style.
Our Woodsworth/Rotman computer lab is equipped with 36 PC workstations and is staffed by lab assistants at all times. As a U of T student, you will have access to the University of Toronto Library and current versions of MS Office software and Internet Explorer. Training courses are offered in September in word processing skills required for essay and report writing, and for creating personal web pages.
The Student-Parent Group hosted by Woodsworth College and the Transitional Year Programme is open to all students pursuing undergraduate studies while parenting, regardless of part-time/full-time status or college affiliation. The group meets bi-weekly for student parents to connect, develop support networks and build community. You are welcome, but not obligated, to attend as often as you like. The meetings are designed to meet the diverse interests and needs of group members, which may range from study skills, academic advising, career planning, financial aid or family care. The group meets on bi-weekly Mondays from 12:00pm to 2:00pm in WW123. Lunch is provided.
