Check your account balance

If you have an outstanding balance, you will be permitted to graduate; however, you will not receive your University of Toronto diploma.

Confirmation letters

If you need a confirmation of your eligibility to graduate prior to the convocation ceremony, you can request one from the Faculty of Arts & Science. Please note that you will need to pay off any remaining balance in your account before you can request such a letter.

Upgrading a Previously Conferred Degree

  • If you graduated with a three-year equivalent degree and wish to upgrade it to a four-year or Honours degree, you must submit a request to the Registrar's Office to upgrade your degree.
  • If you would like to discuss options to upgrade a previously conferred degree or take undergraduate courses after graduation, please meet with an academic advisor.

Please note that students upgrading a degree that has previously been conferred are not eligible to attend the convocation ceremony.
