Topic: From Live Music to Digital: How our listening expectations and rituals have radically changed in the last hundred years
Nancy Riley holds a PhD. in musicology from the University of Toronto. Formerly a partner with a corporate practice in a downtown Toronto law firm, she returned to academia to pursue studies in musicology. Dr. Riley’s field of interest is music in society and her doctoral thesis is entitled "The Place of Art and Music in Edwardian England: Issues of Class, Function and Taste.” Dr. Riley enjoys any opportunity to talk about music with other life-long learners.
