Woodsworth College is proud of the involvement of many volunteers in the college community. Many of our alumni and friends have received the University of Toronto’s Arbor Award. This award was established in 1989 to recognize the outstanding personal service of alumni volunteers who have worked in the interest of the University and College and to celebrate their contributions. The Alumni Association of Woodsworth College has also established its own service awards. These awards are presented to individuals who have shown great commitment to the College, as well as having furthered the interests of the AAWC.
The Awards are:
ALUMNI ASSOCIATION OF WOODSWORTH COLLEGE APPRECIATION AWARD
This award is to be presented to individuals who have shown great commitment to Woodsworth College, as well as having furthered the interests of the AAWC.
Eligible recipients are: Alumni, staff, students and friends of Woodsworth College, and / or companies and associations. The recipient will have had a significant impact on the college, and have made a contribution over time to further the aims and objectives of the AAWC and Woodsworth College.
ALUMNI ASSOCIATION OF WOODSWORTH COLLEGE RECOGNITION AWARD
This award is given to the person or persons who have most exemplified continuous volunteer service, through their dedication and commitment, to Woodsworth College and the AAWC, over a period of no less than three (3) years. Eligible recipients are Woodsworth College Alumni. There should be a maximum of two recipients each year.
THE J.S. WOODSWORTH AWARD OF DISTINCTION
This award is the highest level of recognition / distinction, which is intended to recognize a person who has given extra-ordinary service to Woodsworth College and the Alumni Association. There will be one recipient of this award each year, but it need not be awarded every year.
