Alumni Mentorship Program

Are you successful in your career? Would you like to share your journey with current Woodsworth College students? If so, you can be one of our Career Mentorship Luncheon Series speakers.

The series presents alumni of the college who share their experiences over the lunch hour with approximately 20 students. Mentorship Luncheon Series Events, Spring 2011

Michele Ferguson, Woodsworth College alumna and Parole Officer with the Ministry of Community and Correctional Services, will speak about a career as a probation officer.  Also find out about volunteer opportunities in the field. Wednesday, March 2, 2011, 12 noon to 1:30 p.m.


Nick Mintzas, Criminology Program alumnus and Youth Probation Officer/Volunteer Liason Officer, Ministry of Children & Youth Services, will speak about career opportunities working with youth offenders. Thursday, March 3rd, 2011, 12 noon to 1:30 p.m.


Staff Sergeant Nick Lisi, Durham Regional Police Services, will speak on exploring career options in policing. Thursday, March 10th, 2011, 12 noon to 1:30 p.m.


Anna Borges and Lori McKay, both teachers with the Toronto District School Board, will speak on the rewards and challenges of a career in teaching. Monday, March 7th, 2011, 12 noon to 1:30 p.m.


All the above events will take place in the Principals’ Seminar Room (Room 123) at Woodsworth College, 119 St. George Street

A light lunch will be served.
