About Us
The Office of the Dean of Students is a division of Woodsworth College that addresses student life concerns through a variety of programs such as the First Year Mentorship Program, the Academic Bridging Mentorship Program, and the Community Outreach Program. The Office of the Dean of Students, in collaboration with the Registrar’s Office, also offers a variety of academic and professional development sessions throughout the year.

Assistants to the Dean
Rebekkah Nighswander is a recent graduate from Woodsworth College. She is a former Residence Don of Woodsworth College Residence and has served on various Woodsworth councils, such as the Woodsworth Environment Team and the Woodsworth Residence Council. She has also helped to found and organzise WOLF, Woodsworth Orientation for Life after Frosh. She is looking forward to working with the Dean’s Office team and helping to run the existing programming.

Rouya Botlani is entering her 4th year studying a Health and Disease Major with a Double Minor in Physiology and French. As both a former executive and director on the Woodsworth College Students’ Association, and a Chair on the Woodsworth Leadership Committee for the past 2 years, she has a vast amount of knowledge in regards to the college and is looking forward to learning more by working in the Dean’s Office this summer!

Najva Amin is in her 4th year specializing in Political Science with a minor in Spanish. As a current Residence Don, a former executive and director on the Woodsworth College Students' Association and one of the co-founders of the Are You Woodsworthy Leadership Conference, Najva is knowledgeable of the many resources and services available to all students on campus. This year she looks forward to learning more about the works and services offered through the Dean of Students' Office.

Alison Read is in her 2nd year double-majoring in Peace, Conflict and Justice, and Diaspora and Transnational Studies, with a special focus on South Asia. She is currently an executive on the Woodsworth Residence Council and also served on the WOLF Planning Committee for Woodsworth Orientation 2012. She is eager to help run and build upon the current programming offered by the Office of the Dean, and to deepen her knowledge on the various services that the college and campus provide.

Rachel Vollmer is in her 4th year majoring in Cinema and double minoring in Book and Media and Writing and Rhetoric. She has been an executive member of the Woodsworth College Students Association for the last two years. She was also an executive member of the Woodsworth Residence Council. She has ample knowledge from working with both the residence and college community. She looks forward to helping with the Dean's Office programming and ensuring students have the chance to experience what Woodsworth College has to offer.

Arianne Bohnert is in her 4th year double majoring in Environmental Studies and Sociology with a minor in Environmental Ethics. As a former Executive on both the Woodsworth College Students' Association and the Woodsworth Environment Team, and as a former member of the Varsity Figure Skating team, she has extensive knowledge of all aspects of life at U of T. As a former employee of the Dean's Office she is excited to be back this year and looks forward to assisting in the expansion of transitional programming for students.
